Esther Projects (revitalizing churches)
As we read in the book of Esther, sometimes we are thrust into situations where we see reality very differently
from those around us. There is a need to risk bringing about change in a transformational way,
yet most attempts at bringing such change only serve to further aggravate the situation.
Esther Projects enable churches to move from their current realities to a more biblically based community
model that better fulfills the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.
Our experience suggests that most American Protestant churches choose to continue doing ministry as they have in the past and neglect evaluating their strategies. Ultimately, this leads to the death of the ministry. Ester projects build an environment and put processes into motion that result in incremental and transformational change bringing new birth and revitalization. Esther Team leadership is servant based, accountable, and gift oriented, and
revitalization decisions range from very formal to informal, and are implemented in incremental
steps often interspersed with powerful moments of transformation.
Esther projects normally follow a similar process to Incubators, but with a team
of carefully selected leaders from the local church to work with the senior pastor. See our pages on Coaching Ministry Philosophy and Incubators for more details.
