Our Past:
SLI was formed to address the real problems prevalent in American protestant churches, starting with the lack of effective spiritual leadership. In 1997 a pastor and two church members began meeting weekly for accountability and rediscovered a team approach to ministry.  In June 2000 SLI was incorporated and hired its first staff member with a hope to join God in Kingdom work. From 2000-2003 SLI started to work on various initiatives and began learning what it takes to make a difference in the life of the local church. In the spring of 2003 SLI heard the call to participate in a revolution to change the world for Christ and began to reinvent the organization to increase its influence. We are continuing to ask and are seeing God accomplish "immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, according to God's power that is at work within us..." [Eph. 3: 20-21]

Today:
Spiritual Leadership, Inc. (SLI) today is a non-profit (501(c)(3)) Christian leadership coaching ministry.  It partners with Christians of all denominations in a “walk-along-side” ministry approach over a significant length of time (typically at least a year) to help raise the questions needed for spiritual and leadership formation.   SLI is organized into a five-member board, an executive director, two full-time coaches, an administrative assistant, a rapidly expanding number of SLI-trained part-time coaches, and many, many others.  Our board is committed to building and preparing the body of Christ and serving with its gifts and talents.  "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms." (1 Peter 4:10).
