Our Process:
Our coaches first concentrate on spiritual formation, which is defined by Robert Mulholland as “The process of being conformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others.” The second phase focuses on leadership formation, and the third phase works on organizational transformation with the goal of community outreach. This process in the church leads to spreading the gospel beyond the walls of the church, and eventually inevitably leads to community transformation. Our assistance involves creating environments for change, establishing processes that produce fruit, and finding and training leaders who can both “Be & Do.”
Our Ministry:
SLI is a “walk-along-side” ministry. We engage leaders and organizations at their current level of leadership development and help them find their own individualized way ahead. Our relationship-based coaching begins with a commitment to growth in spiritual disciplines followed by a development of leadership and organizational skills. We prepare leaders not only to overcome temporary problems, but who are able to build communities that are fruitful and reflect the heart of God for long-term growth. This is achieved through a combination of: building covenant teams, strategic planning and implementation, coaching in year-long relationships, facilitating meetings, teaching, retreats, and seminars. This ministry leads to churches that resemble the scriptural description, "The believers studied what the apostles taught. They shared life together. They broke bread and ate together and the prayed. Everyone felt that God was near. They praised God. They were respected by all the people. Every day the Lord added to the group those who were being saved." (Acts 2:42-47- Acts 6:2-4).
Our Client Partners:
We partner with many types of groups on many levels. Client partners have included new churches, local churches, cross-church teams, statewide teams, seminaries, and various levels of church leadership. We have also adapted our processes to meet the needs of other types of non-profit and marketplace organizations.
