Some of my Projects

La Croix United Methodist Church

I first partnered with SLI in 2003 in a project involving directors of congregational development from across the country. As executive pastor of La Croix UMC we brought the SLI process to a large church. During the last 5 years this has completely reshaped their approach to ministry.

Missouri Southeast Disctrict

When asked by our bishop to be a district superintendent, I requested that he allow me to experiment with using SLI as a way to organize the work of the district. We started with developing a lead team and have since added two daughter teams – the New Places for New People team, and the Missional Leaders Team. This approach has enabled the district to grow healthy leaders and add new generative ministries even in the midst of the pandemic. Implementing the SLI “operating system” in the district has resulted in 4 fruitful years and positioned us for the future.
