Dale Locke
Dale is the Founding and Lead Pastor of Community of Hope Church – a multi-site congregation, serving Palm Beach County, Florida. Founded by Dale and his entire family in 1996, Community of Hope has been recognized three times as the “fastest growing United Methodist congregation in Methodism,” and has a particular focus on “interesting dis-interested people in Jesus Christ and growing fully-devoted followers of Him.”
Dale holds his Master of Divinity degree (1988), and a Doctor of Ministry Degree (2001) in Biblical Preaching and Christian Church Leadership, also from Asbury Theological Seminary. His dissertation focused on evangelism strategies reaching unchurched, pre-Christian people in a newly forming church.
A native Floridian, Dale met his wife Beth (Moore) while studying at Asbury, where Beth also earned her master’s degree. Married thirty-four years, Dale and Beth have two married daughters – Haley Weaver, also a graduate of Asbury Seminary, who serves as the Multi-Site Director for Community of Hope, and her husband Brandon, who serves as Campus Pastor of the Lake Worth campus; and Shelley Benitez, who works for the Chick Fil-A organization where her husband, Erik, is an owner/operator.
In his spare time, Dale loves to date his wife, hang with the family, paddle-board the Jupiter Inlet, and serve as a Trustee for Asbury Theological seminary.
